Join us for the 18th Annual General Meeting of the Clean Energy Council
The industry has taken incredible strides this year: breaking rooftop solar and home battery records, reshaping the wholesale market with utility scale storage, and beginning the reforms needed to modernise markets and streamline approvals. But as the energy sector becomes more complex and challenging, the need for a strong and united voice is more important than ever.
Join us at the 18th Annual General Meeting of the Clean Energy Council to celebrate what we've achieved together over the past 12 months and to hear how we'll face the opportunities and challenges in the year ahead.
The AGM will be held in-person for voting representatives of Clean Energy Council Members and executives of Sponsoring and Corporate Members. All other members will be able to attend online. The event will be followed by End of Year Drinks for those attending in-person, an opportunity to gather with peers and celebrate another impactful year for clean energy.
Registration for the AGM and nominations for the board are now open.

Nominations for the Board of Directors
As part of the Annual General Meeting, we will hold our director elections with three positions available, each for a three-year term.
We are seeking industry leaders with governance experience and sector expertise to help us lead Australia’s clean energy future. We encourage nominations from individuals with a broad range of backgrounds, experiences and skillsets to support a strong and well-rounded Board.
Only employees of Clean Energy Council member organisations can nominate. The relevant provisions of the Constitution are set out in Appendix 1 of the Call for Nominations Notice. Director positions are voluntary.
Nominations close at 5pm AEDT on 23 October.
Board election and voting
At our Annual General Meeting, Clean Energy Council members will conduct an election of directors in accordance with clause 10 of the Clean Energy Council’s Constitution.
Should the primary contact not be able to attend the AGM and/or wish to nominate a proxy, we ask that you provide this advice on the registration form and we will send you a proxy form in early November.
Pre-voting opens on 4 November and closes at 5pm on 24 November. Voting will also be open during the AGM. Only primary contacts or nominated proxies can vote. If you’re not sure who the primary contact for your organisation is, contact membership@cleanenergycouncil.org.au.
The three nominees with the highest votes cast will become Directors of the Board for a term of three years.
Attending the AGM
The AGM will be held in-person for voting representatives and executives of Sponsoring and Corporate Members. All other members will be able to attend online. The event will be followed by End of Year Drinks for those attending in-person.
