From mid-2026, all new, upgraded, and replacement rooftop solar systems in NSW must be backstop-enabled. This session will introduce the new Consumer Energy Resources (CER) Installer Portal, developed in collaboration with NSW DNSPs and Energy Networks Australia. The portal will streamline compliance with safety and technical standards, simplify registration processes, and support the rollout of the Emergency Backstop Mechanism across the state.
