WOMEN IN RENEWABLES

Supporting the next wave of women leaders

In 2021, the Clean Energy Council, with the support of partner organisations, came together to recognise and build upon the enormous legacy of the late Chloe Munro AO, by establishing a scholarship in her honour – the Chloe Munro Scholarship for Transformational Leadership.

This scholarship is open to emerging and mid-level female leaders in the fields of renewable energy, energy management and carbon abatement.

Successful applicants will receive a fully funded scholarship to undertake one of two courses offered by Education Provider, Women & Leadership Australia.

The women selected to undertake the courses will be encouraged to establish a strong network to support each other and further build their leadership capability and drive collaboration to continue to change the Australian energy system.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples are welcomed and encouraged to apply. Only short-listed applicants will be notified and invited to an interview from September 2024.

Applications for the 2024 Chloe Munro Scholarship are now closed.

Part of the application process requires you to submit a cover letter. Here we ask that you address how your experience relates to one of the following industries – renewable energy, energy management and carbon abatement. We appreciate that there is a huge diversity of roles and industries that are integral to the development and success of these and ask that you outline how your role, projects you’ve worked on and/or experience relates to one of these industries.

If your total work experience in an eligible industry is over a span of 12 months (for Leading Edge) or three years (for Executive Ready), or more, you will satisfy this eligibility criteria. We ask that you determine this and outline your experience in your cover letter.
