Access data on approved products and the NETCC Approved Sellers
The Clean Energy Council maintains detailed records as part of its Products Accreditation and New Energy Tech Consumer Code Programs. These include approved product details including the manufacturer, certification, model/series and other technical data for inverters, PV modules, and batteries, as well as registration details for retailers approved under the New Energy Tech Consumer Code (NETCC).
Under specific circumstances, third parties may be granted a data license to access this information via Application Programming Interface (API). These arrangements are typically approved where the data is used to verify product listing or participation in the NETCC.
Examples of permitted use include:
- State or Territory Government agencies verifying CEC product listing and NETCC signatory status for eligibility under rebate programs.
- Network Service Providers (NSPs) confirming that an inverter is listed on the CEC’s Approved Inverter List prior to connection.
- Green loan financiers verifying the retailer’s NETCC signatory status for eligibility of discounted loans under the Household Energy Upgrade Funds.
The Clean Energy Council does not provide access to its data sets for marketing, promotional, or unsolicited commercial use. This is in line with our obligations under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and our internal data governance practices.
