Raising standards for rooftop solar and storage
Electrifying homes and businesses is critical for Australia's clean energy transition and lowering energy bills.
It's important that consumers can trust that solar panels, batteries, electric vehicle chargers and other new energy technologies meet strong standards and are sold and installed correctly.
The Clean Energy Council administers several programs to help protect consumers, support government incentive programs and build a healthy industry.
Get your product approved by the Clean Energy Council.
The Clean Energy Council maintains lists of approved panels, inverters and batteries that meet Australian Standards for use in the design and installation of solar and battery storage systems.
Only systems using panels and inverters from the approved lists are eligible to receive small-scale technology certificates (STCs) under the Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme (SRES).

Accredited installers and designers
Accreditation has moved. Solar Accreditation Australia are now responsible for ensuring installers and designers have undertaken appropriate training and meet standards.
CPD for solar installers
Earn up to 30 points undertaking Continuing Professional Development about regulation, electrification, Victoria’s emergency backstop and more. Many courses are free of charge.

Become a New Energy Tech Approved Seller to show your customers your business is committed to meeting consumer protection standards.
