In its draft report ‘The pricing review - Electricity pricing for a consumer-driven future’, the Australian Energy Market Commission (AEMC) proposes market reforms to harness competition to improve outcomes for consumers, make it easier for consumers to compare offers that suit them and reward consumers that contribute to achieving a lowest-cost energy system.

Our submission to AEMC’s draft report broadly supports proposed reforms but cautions against fixed network charges, which disincentivise solar investment and unfairly increase the relative costs for smaller energy users.
