Australia's clean energy pipeline notches a big century in 2026

“Today’s announcement that the Federal Government has approved over 150 clean energy projects since 2022 shows that Australia’s clean energy industry is an economic powerhouse.

“Right now, the clean energy industry is investing billions in Australia, and every day more homes and businesses are powered by renewable energy. Just this month, Australia achieved a record of 80 per cent of renewables supplying our national grid.

“These 150 renewable projects are using Australia’s abundant wind and sun to power Australia’s future, because they are the most affordable forms of new power we can build to meet our nation’s rapidly growing power demands.

“Every approved wind farm, solar farm, big battery, pumped hydro project and transmission line means more regional investment, more Australian jobs, and cleaner, more affordable and more reliable electricity for households and businesses."
