During a time of profound change for Australia’s clean energy transition, the nation’s leading renewable energy industry event, the Australian Clean Energy Summit (ACES) 2024, powered by Goldwind, will return to Sydney in 2024.

Held between Tuesday 18 – Wednesday 19 July 2024, ACES features many of the most influential leaders of the Australian energy transition, in-depth discussions across important aspects of Australia’s clean energy future, as well as the ever-popular Women in Renewables Lunch and the industry’s night of nights, the NAB Gala Dinner.

Over 150 speakers will present across 35 sessions over the two-day event, including:

  • Attracting and retaining stronger clean energy financing and investment
  • Working with local communities and building thriving regional economies powered by renewables
  • Unlocking Australia’s competitive green metals manufacturing and green hydrogen potential
  • Overcoming grid connection challenges for Australia’s growing share of renewable energy generation
  • Navigating Federal, state and territory planning frameworks and common challenges for renewables projects
  • Implementing effective strategies for First Nations engagement and empowerment
  • Establishing a robust offshore wind sector in Australia
  • Supporting the growth of consumer energy resources, including rooftop solar, home batteries and electrification

Day one of the summit will feature a keynote address from Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) Chief Executive and Managing Director, Daniel Westerman, followed by a not-to-be-missed panel of clean energy industry leaders.

Other highlights include a critical panel discussion about the massive opportunity and pressing issues surrounding each state and territory’s energy transition, featuring Ministers Penny Sharpe, Shane Rattenbury and Nick Duigan.

Clean Energy Council Chief Executive, Kane Thornton, said that the 2024 summit follows several landmark developments in the energy transition, including a monumental Federal Budget, which have placed clean energy at the centre of consequential reform in the Australian economy.

This year’s Australian Clean Energy Summit is taking place during a major turning point for Australia’s clean energy transformation following several key reforms and announcements from Federal, state and territory governments and an even more robust national conversation about the future of our energy system.

“Australia’s gameplan for becoming a renewable energy superpower has been set in motion, with all of the key players from government, industry and investment gathering under one roof to engage in this discussion and explore the opportunities for Australia from a successful clean energy transition.

“ACES looks set to deliver an engaging program of presentations across many aspects of this transition, with something in this year’s program to meet all interests, both within industry and those looking to join us on the journey to a future powered by renewables.”
