The Clean Energy Council's submission to the National Electricity Market (NEM) wholesale market settings review (or the Nelson review) identifies the need to address long-term uncertainty through well-thought-out market design.
This submission sets out some key principles for how this might be achieved, before covering off the various solutions that might be considered by policy makers.
Finally, we explore implications for contract markets, essential system services, and consumer energy resources.
The Nelson review will be a key focus for the Clean Energy Council in 2025.
