Policy and Advocacy Advisory Committee
This committee is the main policy-setting body of the Clean Energy Council. Its role is to advise the Clean Energy Council and ensure a balanced approach is applied to develop positions – taking into account all technology areas.
Distributed Energy Leadership Forum
The Distributed Energy Leadership Forum is the CEC’s key decision-making body for the distributed energy sector. It is responsible for recommending the strategy of the CEC concerning distributed energy over a two to ten-year timeframe.
Clean Energy Investment Roundtable
The Clean Energy Investment Roundtable serves as an exclusive discussion forum for CEC members with direct involvement with investment in utility-scale renewable energy projects.
QLD Leadership Group
Established in 2023 to bring together senior members with key interests in QLD to capitalise on the opportunities created by the release of the QLD Government’s Energy and Jobs Plan at the end of 2022. The Plan sets a target of 80% renewable energy by 2035, backed by $62 Billion in investment.
The work of the QLD Policy and Impact team includes liaising with the Queensland Government, agencies, regulators, distribution network service providers (DNSPs), and other external stakeholders to facilitate a supportive environment for large and small-scale renewable energy deployment in Queensland, with a strong emphasis on mitigating the broad range of social license challenges. Through this Group, members are able to raise issues of particular relevance to QLD projects and to convey a united industry perspective on these to the QLD Government.
Directorates
Directorates advise the Clean Energy Council on policy and industry development issues in specific areas of the clean energy industry.
Members can log in to read more about each Directorate below.
Working groups
Working groups are often set up by a Directorate to discuss a specific topic related to a technology or policy issue. These working groups provide members (and in some instances, expert non-members) with a forum to discuss issues and guide the direction of the Clean Energy Council.
If you're a Clean Energy Council member, log in to read more about the working groups available to your level of membership:
