Held from Tuesday 18 – Wednesday 19 July at the International Convention Centre (ICC) in Sydney, ACES is the premier forum for the renewable energy sector, and anyone with an interest in becoming a part of Australia’s future success and prosperity as a clean energy superpower.

The ACES program includes 39 headline speakers across 27 sessions, covering an extensive array of topics, including:

  • Clean energy industry trends across Australia
  • Government initiatives and policy developments
  • Innovations in clean energy technology
  • Clean energy supply chains and finance
  • Women in Renewables, and the power and importance of mentoring relationships.

Day one of the summit features a keynote from Australia’s Minister for Climate Change and Energy, Chris Bowen, while a session bringing together many state and territory Energy Ministers on day two is not to be missed.

Other highlights include Malcolm Turnbull AC, Ross Garnaut AC and Managing Director of Palisade Investment Partners Karen Gould taking a critical look at Australia’s clean energy superpower ambitions.

The summit will also host the popular Women in Renewables Luncheon, and the NAB Gala Dinner and Clean Energy Awards, featuring keynote speaker Noel Pearson.

Clean Energy Council Chief Executive, Kane Thornton, said that this year’s summit takes place amid amplified recognition of the clean energy sector’s crucial role in driving future economic growth and addressing climate change, and in a spirit of optimism owing to fundamental transformations of the policy and investment landscape. However, significant challenges remain.

“With substantial alignment among federal, state and territory governments on the importance of clean energy to Australia’s future prosperity, ACES 2023 will deliver a program reflective of the opportunities presented by this momentous change.

“Australia’s race to become a clean energy superpower has begun, and all the key players in industry, finance, federal, state and territory governments will be uniting at ACES to share their experiences, thoughts, and insights about how we achieve this goal.

“ACES will deliver thought-provoking and insightful discussion and collaboration across the clean energy sector, with something in the program to cater to all interests and goals, both among industry participants, and those looking to be a part of Australia’s clean energy future.”

Co-located within the ICC, Energy Next will also be taking place alongside ACES in 2023, with the event focussing on the latest renewable energy and energy management technologies, and hosting the Clean Energy Council’s flagship Solar Masterclasses for rooftop solar designers and installers.

“We are also delighted to be partnering with Energy Next again in 2023,” says Thornton, “delivering an informative program covering issues and trends of relevance to the rollout of rooftop solar around Australia, which accounted for a record 2.7 GW of generation capacity added to our grid in the last year.”
