The Clean Energy Council's (CEC) submission to VicGrid’s consultation paper on the proposed Grid Impact Assessment to apply to renewable generators and storage connecting outside of renewable energy zones in Victoria.

This submission sets out some concerns the CEC has with VicGrid’s proposed approach to changing the nature of the National Electricity Market (NEM) open access regime in Victoria and outlines some recommendations on possible solutions that could be considered by policy makers.

The development of the Victorian Transmission Plan and associated policy documentation for the connection of generators within and outside of renewable energy zones will be a key focus for the CEC in 2025.
