We welcome the opportunity to provide feedback on the Queensland Government's draft Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) Roadmap.
The Clean Energy Council (CEC) is the peak body for the clean energy industry in Australia. We represent and work with around 1,000 of the leading businesses operating in rooftop and utility-scale solar, onshore and offshore wind, storage, hydro power, and renewable hydrogen. We are committed to accelerating Australia’s clean energy transformation.Broadly, we support the general direction of the draft REZ Roadmap, and we welcome the clear processes that the government intends to follow in its decision-making.Below is a short submission from the CEC on some of the key consultation questions, along with other issues where we would welcome further clarity from government.
