View a list of approved inverters certified to the latest version of CSIP-AUS
Most inverters can communicate with networks and devices through a software communication client (SCC), and this communication is commonly standardised by the Common Smart Inverter Profile - Australia (CSIP-AUS) protocol.
Below, you can see CSIP-AUS certification details for each software client and inverter combination.
To support connection to Australian electricity networks using CSIP-AUS, manufacturers are encouraged to get tested and certified through the Australian National University (ANU) and to onboard to the National Energy Public Key Infrastructure (NEPKI) as soon as possible.

Notes on using this table
The CSIP-AUS version for each listing can be identified by the Standard Tested column, where SA TS 5573:2025 indicates CSIP-AUS v1.2, and IEEE 2030.5 (SAPN) corresponds to CSIP-AUS v1.1a (HB218:2023).
The Test Profiles column shows the SA TS 5573:2025 test designations to which the inverter-client pair’s compliance is confirmed by the testing body. Please refer to the relevant DNSP’s connection requirements for the required test designations. Only listings to SA TS 5573:2025 will have information populated in this field.
Software clients are classified into two implementation categories: Direct, where the inverter (DER) connects directly to the utility server using the software communications client without an intermediate aggregator, for the individual site; and Proxy (Aggregator), where the inverter (DER) connects to the utility server via a communications aggregator that acts as the software communications client, which may represent many sites. This information is shown in the Type column. Only listings to SA TS 5573:2025 will have information populated in this field.
The External Accessories? column is intended to inform installers whether additional hardware (e.g. gateways, controllers, data loggers, etc. – but not including CTs and meters) is required to be procured and installed for CSIP-AUS communications. This information is advised by the manufacturer – please reach out to the manufacturer if more details are required. Listings not under SA TS 5573:2025 will have default values of ‘No’.
