The Clean Energy Council (CEC) held its 2025 Annual General Meeting yesterday with members electing three Directors to the Board of the CEC for a three-year term.

The CEC congratulates Jackie Brown of GE Vernova on her election to the Board, as well as Angela Catt (Tilt Renewables) and Dennis Freedman (Aquila Clean Energy) who were re-elected, among a competitive field of 16 nominees.

Ross Rolfe AO, Clean Energy Council Chair, said he looks forward to working with the new Board as the organisation continues to evolve in its mission to guide a successful renewables rollout, in the national interest.

“Jackie Brown brings exceptional expertise and proven leadership from the vantage point of a respected original equipment manufacturer (OEM) in the wind industry - the only OEM organisation on the CEC Board. Her insights will be instrumental as our sector accelerates innovation and pursues the lowest-cost, highest-efficiency pathway to deliver Australia’s energy transition,” he said.

“Angela Catt and Dennis Freedman have also consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership and governance, and their successful re-election today reflects the strong confidence our members have in their contributions to the CEC Board.

“I look forward to continuing our work together to deliver meaningful outcomes for our member companies across both large and small-scale renewables, who rely on the CEC to support them – whether through strong policy and advocacy work, product accreditation, or raising the bar on professional industry standards and training.

“I’d also like to thank outgoing Board Director, Philip Cullum (Consumer-wise Consulting), for his valuable contribution and service to the Board,” he said.

The CEC is the sector’s largest industry body representing the clean energy sector, with over 1,000 industry members spanning large-scale solar, rooftop solar, onshore wind, offshore wind, pumped hydro, battery storage companies, clean energy supply chains, investors and stakeholders.

“The breadth and depth of both members and expertise at the CEC is significant, reinforcing our role as the trusted custodian of Australia’s energy transition. The Board remains committed to elevating the CEC and industry through this next phase,” Mr Rolfe said.
