25 NOVEMBER 2025

Join us for the 17th Annual General Meeting of the Clean Energy Council

With a requirement to more than double the amount of renewables in the grid by 2035, the role of the Clean Energy Council as the peak body for the renewable energy sector has never been more critical.

Clean Energy Council members are invited to join us at our AGM to hear about the organisation’s impact over the past 12 months and our plans for the year ahead as we seek to meet challenges head on and proactively influence policy outcomes.

At the AGM, members will vote for three vacant positions on the Board of Directors. We invite nominations from leaders of Clean Energy Council members with governance experience and sector-specific expertise to help us shape Australia’s energy transition.

BUILDING TRUST, UNDERSTANDING AND SUPPORT FOR CLEAN ENERGY

Clean energy works for Australia.

Clean energy projects succeed when local communities can participate and share in the benefits.

We know that residents, landholders, and members of the broader community may have genuine questions and feel uncertain about local renewable developments.

The Clean Energy Council has developed a range of resources to help build understanding, answer questions and debunk myths. Check out our resources.

Energy Fact Check supports informed public discussion by addressing mis- and dis-information and providing balanced and evidence-based answers to common questions about the transition.

The Best Practice Charter for Renewable Energy Projects has seen more than 50 Clean Energy Council members commit to engaging respectfully with the communities in which they plan and operate projects, to be sensitive to environmental and cultural values and to make a positive contribution to the regions.

Our fact sheets provide evidence-based insights on the key issues Australian communities care about regarding renewable energy projects.

ROOFTOP SOLAR AND STORAGE REPORT, JANUARY TO JUNE 2025

Our latest report shows 4.2m households now have solar. It's time to support solar for renters.

Our latest Rooftop solar and storage report shows that Australian consumers and small businesses are continuing to take advantage of Australia’s abundant solar resources, especially in Queensland.

We are now calling on all governments to establish and extend solar and battery schemes so that millions of Australians in rental properties also have the opportunity to reduce their power bills.
